Quad rugby
Better known as wheelchair rugby, quad rugby is a paralympic sport made for tetraplegic people. Each game is composed of 4 periods that last 8 minutes each and it takes place on a 28 by 15-meter pitch. The objective for the two opposing teams (each composed of 4 players) is to cross the opposing goal line. The ball used is similar to a volley ball.

XIII wheelchair rugby
XIII wheelchair rugby is an adaptation of XIII rugby for people that use a wheelchair. It is a mixed sport and it welcomes both physically and mentally disabled people and able-bodied.
In order to win, a team must score the most amount of tries within 3 periods of 40 minutes each. The ball is oval-shaped, just like in more traditional rugby.
Wheelchair handball
Wheelchair handball exists in two versions:
– wheelchair handball four a side is played with two teams of 4 players each
– wheelchair handball six a side is more similar to traditional handball. It is played by 6-player teams on a standard handball pitch.
Wheelchair basketball
Wheelchair basketball is a sport that is as popular as traditional basketball. Teams are composed of 5 athletes each and they can have different types of physical disabilities. The pitch’s dimensions are the same and so is the basket height.
Wheelchair hockey
Wheelchair hockey is a sport open to all para-athletes, even these with severe physical disabilities. The objective is naturally to send the ball in the opposing goal. Players move in a wheelchair on 26 by 16-meter pitch. They hold a hockey stick with which they hit the ball.
Wheelchair tennis
Wheelchair tennis is adapted to people suffering from a disability. The pitch remains the same but some of the rules were modified to be better adapted. For instance, the ball can bounce twice before being hit.
Para badminton
Para badminton is a mixed sport which includes athletes with different kinds of physical disabilities. Just like in many sport competitions, there exists different categories depending on how the players’ disabilities. The rules are similar to those of traditional badminton.
