Are you the manager or a member of sport association or club? Do you want to have the parasport label? The French parasport federation’s mission is to organise competition and leisure sport activities for people suffering from a hearing, visual or motor disability. PlayMoovin’ gives here all the information you need so you can apply and become a sport association.
For a sport club’s first affiliation to the FFH
Here are all the information and documents you have to give the federation to create a parasport association:
- Permit applications (at least the president’s and the treasurer’s ones);
- The affiliation document;
- The sport club office headcount;
- A copy of the association’s statuses:
- The medical certificate of every member;
- The sport club rules;
- The receipt of the association’s declaration made to the prefecture;
- A 260€ check corresponding to the registration fee.
The national parasport federation then contacts the departmental federation as well as the regional committee. 25 of the 260€ required for the registration fee go to the departmental committee and the same sum also goes to the regional committee.
In order for your parasport club to remain affiliated in the coming years, you simply need to go on this website: https://licences.handisport.org/.
A package to simplify the entry in the parasport world
Thanks to Handistart, the first affiliation of your association to the French parasport federation is possible even if you do not have any members. In this case, a parasport permit is even offered to the president and to the treasurer of the club. Your structure will then be able to welcome all the athletes who wish to join over the course of the season.
Parasport associations: a mandatory good repute check for the supervisors and directors
Every sport teacher and supervisor must undergo a good repute check if you want your association to be a parasport association. In order to do so, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports ensures that the directors and the teachers do not have a criminal record. It automatically transfers the data relative to the identity of the supervisors:
- Name and surname;
- Maiden name for women;
- Country of origin;
- City of birth.
What are the advantages of becoming a parasport association?
The affiliation to the French parasport federation offers your association a premium label which stands as proof of seriousness.
Because it is certified, your parasport association can allow members who have a competition permit to take part in official championships. They also benefit from a high-quality selection of several sports.
The FFH formation centre allow all sportspeople to develop their skills and to support others in their physical practice.
Finally, know that if you are looking for partners, the parasport federation offers you good visibility as well as quality partnerships.
Moreover, the monthly magazine “Handisport le Mag” can keep you informed of all the news related to parasport.
Which equipment is required to have in a parasport association?
If you are managing a parasport structure, you need to naturally ensure the safety and well-being of every sportsperson.
The French parasport federation indicates what the adapted equipment is. As a sport wheelchair manufacturer, PlayMoovin’ can provide you wheelchairs which are adapted to leisure practice. The FreeMoovin’ is a wheelchair equipped with a plastic case which is ideal for leisure practice. Our wheelchairs are naturally validated by the CERAH (study and research centre for the equipment of disabled people) which carries out checks on equipment for disabled people. This wheelchair is particularly adapted to the practice of:
- Wheelchair rugby;
- Wheelchair handball;
- Wheelchair tennis;
- Para badminton;
- Para swimming;
- Etc.
You will have understood that in order to propose parasport activities within your association, you simply need to file your application to the FFH. For the equipment, know that we rent or/and sell sport wheelchairs, so do not hesitate to contact us if you want more information!
